Melinda Abreu is a talented New England-based tattoo artist specializing in black-and-grey portraiture and realism. With a background in Fine Art Sculpture and Digital Media, she approaches tattooing with a unique, artist-driven perspective, drawing inspiration from film, fantasy, and nature. After two years of tattooing in western Rhode Island, Melinda is now expanding her creative practice to New Bedford.

In addition to her tattoo artistry, Melinda has a diverse and impressive artistic background, having worked in makeup, special effects, and body painting for major film and television projects, including Boston Strangler (Hulu), Mother Android (Hulu), Spirited (Apple TV), Don’t Look Up (Netflix), The Tender Bar (Amazon), and Defending Jacob (Apple TV). Her body art has earned her recognition, including nominations at prestigious exhibitions like the Living Art America Body Painting Championship.
